Limited to just 100 units, the Stately bench was designed by Ian Kelly, a graduate of the world renowned Letterfrack Furniture College. His inspiration comes from the wooden panels of walls in stately homes throughout Ireland and the U.K. This is the first of our Limited Edition bench designs.
An exceptionally beautiful and strong piece of furniture, handcrafted from Grade A teak. You have the option of leaving this bench au naturelle, oiled, waxed or painted in any one of the 132 colours of Farrow & Ball’s exterior eggshell range.
This bench would suit an indoor hallway as much as an outdoor position.
The ‘Stately’ teak bench was designed by Letterfrack graduate, Ian Kelly of You Design. Ian Kelly is a furniture designer and maker who studied at GMIT Letterfrack Furniture College. From there he went to Vietnam to complete an internship with international designer John Reeves at Reeves Design. When he returned to Ireland he established You Design with a number of different goals… He wanted to touch on all aspects of furniture design and manufacture – His work varies from high-end handcrafted commissions to affordable designer collections and everything in between – exploring the boundaries of production and design at every opportunity.
The back of the Stately bench was designed to mirror the wooden panels of the walls in stately homes. It is a strong, panel-backed bench that would look fantastic either in an entrance hallway or in pride of place in any garden of distinction. There will only ever be 100 of these benches manufactured.
